Transfering A Strategy
STEPS FOR TRANSFERRING A STRATEGY
To transfer the strategy, you literally need to copy the pricing strategy file from one computer to another. You can do this with a CD, a thumb drive, or even email – if it resides on both computers with 2 different email addresses.
The pricing strategy is located on the C: drive in the folder called Margin Master. When you click on that folder you will see the database, the report files, the strategy, etc. The strategy will be named xxxx –PS, (where xxxx represents your store number). That strategy file needs to be copied from that PC and placed in the exact same location (C:/MarginMaster) on the other PC.
Ideally, you can simply do this by attaching the file to an email and sending it to the other computer. >From there, you would copy the file and paste it in C:/MarginMaster on the new PC. If you do not have email on both PCs, then you would need to copy the file from the old PC and place it on a thumb drive or a CD. Then, take that drive to the new computer, pull the file from the drive and place it in C:/MarginMaster.
