FTP Transfer Utility Screen
Margin Master has a built in utility that is capable of connecting to most PACE Linux, Activant, or other POS systems that support the FTP Standard Transfer Protocol. The utility makes it very easy to get the necessary data files from your POS system to the PC so they can be processed by Margin Master.

Set-up
To properly configure the utility, you need to know your Server IP address. This is typically available at the top of a TeamTalk, Procomm Plus, or Network Access screen. For most users, the default report directory, username, and password that are established for each POS type are acceptable. Should your system require different information, enter it in the appropriate spot and click Connect.

FTP Access Privileges
Some systems, including Activant Level 14 and above, require users to have FTP Access privileges set up before they can connect using FTP. Be sure to enable FTP Access - or you will be unable to connect. 

Saving the Settings
Once a connection is successfully established, the setting will automatically be saved and should not need to be changed.

Transfer the Files
The list of files is displayed in reverse date sequence. So the reports most recently run will always be at the top of the list. Margin Master automatically selects the RIV,RIH,RDE and RCL reports based on the number of stores they have.  This option can be turned on or off in the options screen.
