Pricing Strategy File Back Up Instructions
It is a good idea to periodically back up your pricing strategy file. There are two ways to back up your pricing strategy file.
Backing Up Price Strategy File Upon Closing the Program
By default, when you close the Margin Master program, the program wll prompt you to back up a copy of your pricing strategy.

By clicking the yes option you will be able to upload a copy of your pricing strategy file to our website. You may chose to have this as a password protected option or not. This is a helpful way of backing up your strategy if you have multiple copies of the Margin Master program but want the users to all utilize the same pricing strategy. You can also use this option to share your pricing strategy with other retailers if you desire to do so.
Backing Up Pricing Strategy File to a Flash/Thumb Drive
This option is similar to saving any file to a Flash or Thumb Drive. The following information will help you to locate the correct file to save. The pricing strategy is located on the C: drive in the folder called Margin Master. When you click on that folder you will see the database, the report files, the strategy, etc. The strategy will be named xxxx –PS, (where xxxx represents your store number). That strategy file needs to be copied from that PC and placed in the exact same location (C:/MarginMaster) on the other PC.

The highlighted files listed in the image above are all pricing strategy files. You would want to pick the one you are currently utilizing. If you are unsure you can go into the Margin Master program & go into the Pricing Strategy Management screen. The name of the current pricing strategy will be listed at the top.
